Job summary

Stoneacre Motor Group is seeking an enthusiastic EV Technician Apprentice to join its BYD dealership team in Wrexham. You will work full-time in a modern workshop, gaining hands-on experience with the latest EV technology and completing a Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship, with potential progression to Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
• Interest in cars, technology and EVs.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team.
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing, repairing and maintaining cars, including EV and hybrid vehicles.
• Learn diagnostics and fault finding with guidance from senior technicians.
• Assist in MOT preparation and vehicle inspections.
• Adhere to safe working practices and workshop rules.

You’ll work alongside experienced technicians in a modern workshop, learning how to service, repair and maintain cars, including electric and hybrid vehicles. As part of the role, you’ll complete a Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship, with the opportunity to progress to a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician qualification.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
