Job summary

Vertu BMW Finance Hub is offering an opportunity to start a career in Accounts. You will train to become an Accounts Assistant, supporting sales and purchase ledgers and gaining exposure to monthly management accounts, reconciliations, daily banking, and cashflow management.

You will train with a partner for an AAT qualification, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail, in a supportive environment with clear career progression and extensive training benefits.

Qualifications

• GCSE 4/9 or A–C in English, Maths and one other subject.
• IT literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties, including checking invoices and filing invoices and statements.
• Deal with purchase enquiries and support month-end processes.
• Assist in production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with daily banking, cashflow, and credit control tasks.
• Handle ad-hoc duties within accounting functions.

We have a great opportunity for someone looking to kick start their career in Accounts!

You will be training to become an Accounts Assistant. This role assists with the seamless operation of the accounting and financial procedures within the dealership. In particular assisting with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties such as checking invoices, filing invoices and statements as well as dealing with purchase enquiries. Other duties include assistance in production on monthly management accounts, balance street reconciliations, daily banking’s and cashflow, credit control, as well as ad‑hoc duties that come up within the accounting functions.

Essential Criteria

• GCSE at level 4/9 or A/C in English, Maths and one other subject
• IT literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Attention to Detail and Accuracy
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude

Training?

You will be working with one of our partners undertaking an AAT qualification.
