Job summary

Vertu BMW Finance Hub in the West Boldon area is offering an entry-level opportunity for someone to begin a career in accounts. You will training to become an Accounts Assistant, supporting sales and purchase ledgers and assisting with monthly management accounts.

The role includes checking and filing invoices, balance sheet reconciliations, daily banking, cashflow, and credit control, with training toward an AAT qualification and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSE at level 4/9 or A-C in English, Maths and one other subject.
• IT literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Attention to Detail and Accuracy.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties like checking invoices, filing invoices and statements, and handling purchase enquiries.
• Assist production on monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, daily banking and cashflow tasks.
• Support credit control and ad-hoc accounting duties as needed.

We have a great opportunity for someone looking to kick start their career in Accounts!

You will be training to become an Accounts Assistant. This role assists with the seamless operation of the accounting and financial procedures within the dealership. In particular assisting with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties such as checking invoices, filing invoices and statements as well as dealing with purchase enquiries. Other duties include assistance in production on monthly management accounts, balance street reconciliations, daily banking's and cashflow, credit control, as well as ad-hoc duties that come up within the accounting functions.

Essential Criteria

• GCSE at level 4/9 or A/C in English, Maths and one other subject
• IT literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Attention to Detail and Accuracy
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude

Training?

You will be working with one of our partners undertaking an AAT qualification.
