Job summary

Principle HR is partnering with a world-leading technology company to hire a Software Engineer- Applied AI for its global Product Content Engineering team. The role is remote within the United Kingdom and focuses on turning ambiguous problems into reliable, production-grade AI tools used across product teams.

You’ll work across upstream evaluation infrastructure and downstream AI features like text summarisation and agentic editing, building end-to-end data workflows and ensuring robust

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production software experience
• Proven track record owning products from ambiguity to launch
• Experience building or integrating APIs, backend services, or data pipelines
• Strong product judgment
• Excellent communication with engineers and stakeholders
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with technical and non-technical users to understand the problem before choosing a solution
• Design, build, test, launch and operate end-to-end internal products, integrations and data workflows
• Turn prototypes and one-off scripts into reliable, reusable self-service tools
• Build evaluation and feedback loops for AI-powered and agentic workflows
• Apply strong production practices: automated testing, observability, actionable errors and safe failure handling
• Work as an AI-native engineer using tools like Claude Code and Codex day to day
• Measure adoption, quality, time saved and reduction in manual work
• Own several workstreams at once and make clear trade-offs based on impact and complexity
