Job summary

Meta seeks a Security Engineer for its Applied AI organization in the UK. You will blend security expertise with AI-driven approaches to build defenses, prototype AI-powered protections, and advance security across platforms.

You will lead adversarial research, threat intelligence programs, and scalable detection capabilities, mentoring peers and shaping how security translates into AI tooling for Meta-scale systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on security engineering experience.
• Deep attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures knowledge.
• Ability to architect security systems at scale and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solve ambiguous problems in Security/Trust/Safety domains.
• Architect security systems and capabilities across teams.
• Lead adversarial research, threat intelligence, detection or investigation AI-augmented efforts.
• Shape how security expertise translates into AI capabilities and scalable processes.
• Set and improve quality standards for security practices across teams.
• Drive cross-organizational partnerships and define technical direction.
• Break down problems into scoped workstreams and own the most complex pieces.
• Mentor engineers and role-model security engineering practices.
• Disseminate findings through publications and internal knowledge sharing.
