Job summary

CuspAI is seeking a highly qualified scientist to lead partner projects across computational and experimental domains, turning complex problems into actionable plans and deliverables. You will collaborate with ML researchers, platform engineers, and lab teams to ensure projects advance from scoping to results, with strong emphasis on validated workflows and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• .PhD in chemistry, materials science, physics, or related field.
• Deep hands-on expertise in at least one of atomistic simulation, experimental materials/chemistry with automation, or cheminformatics with ML.
• Track record in one or more application areas listed.
• Proficient Python for data handling and modelling; familiarity with Git.
• Excellent ability to translate between experimental and computational scientists.
• Passion for CuspAI's mission and AI-enabled materials breakthroughs.

Responsibilities

• Lead partner projects from scoping to delivery, as a key contact with TPMs.
• Write technical scopes, deliverables, success criteria, timelines.
• Prepare regular technical reports and presentations for partners and internal teams.
• Apply platform to partner problems using simulation, ML, data-driven optimisation or experiments.
• Design and steer discovery campaigns, including agentic and closed-loop campaigns.
• Translate platform recommendations into executable experimental plans.
• Ensure data from partners and workflows are clean and structured.
• Contribute to scalable, automated workflows within the platform.
