Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Engineer for its Beneficial Deployments, Life Sciences team. You will support nonprofits and research institutes using Claude to accelerate trials and repurposing efforts, aligning with mission-driven health outcomes.

The role emphasizes partnering with engineers, scientists and clinicians, applying LLM-powered tools to clinical and translational challenges, and delivering production-ready solutions in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, running or analysing clinical trials, or finding new uses for existing medicines.
• Deep experience with biomedical data: literature, omics, patient data, health records or registries.

Responsibilities

• Design, review and prioritise clinical trials with Claude, drafting protocols and analysis plans; flag enrolment and operational risks.
• Build and validate tools to find new uses for existing medicines in rare diseases from literature and data.
• Develop reusable infrastructure (servers, data sources) and feedback learnings to product, engineering and research.
