Job summary

SoCode Recruitment is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join a growing AI organisation and collaborate with research and engineering teams to build production-grade AI systems in London.

The role features hybrid working, a salary up to £140,000 with bonus; you will design LLM-driven solutions, develop robust software, and mentor junior engineers while using Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience building LLM-driven systems, including RAG.
• Commercial Python development experience.
• Strong understanding of clean, maintainable and well-tested software.
• Fluency with agentic tooling.
• Excellent technical communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree from a leading or internationally recognised university.

We’re looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join a growing AI organisation and work closely with the research and engineering teams to build high-quality, production-grade AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build solutions using LLMs, RAG and related AI technologies
• Develop and maintain high-quality production software
• Architect and maintain microservice-based systems
• Take ownership of technical problems from concept through to production
• Work closely with research and engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Provide technical guidance and support to more junior engineers

You’ll ideally have

• Experience building LLM-driven systems, including RAG
• Commercial Python development experience
• Strong understanding of clean, maintainable and well-tested software
• Fluency with agentic tooling
• Excellent technical communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree from a leading or internationally recognised university
