Job summary

Biotage is seeking an Applications Scientist to join the EMEA Regional Marketing team. The role focuses on developing, optimizing and demonstrating sample preparation applications, especially SPE and SLE, for bioanalytical labs.

You will generate data, support evaluations, and create technical content showing Biotage solutions address real-world lab challenges, including automation of workflows where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or life sciences.
• Experience in analytical chemistry, bioanalysis or sample preparation.
• Hands-on SPE/SLE sample preparation experience.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting analytical methods.
• Understanding of bioanalytical workflows in pharma/CRO labs.
• Automation experience is a plus but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and troubleshoot sample preparation applications and workflows (SPE/SLE).
• Develop applications for bioanalysis, pharma, CRO labs.
• Investigate customer challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Generate data and evidence to demonstrate performance and value.
• Support customer demonstrations and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Sales to provide technical support.
• Assist in automating sample preparation workflows.
• Create technical content (notes, guides, webinars).
• Identify customer needs and trends for new workflows.
• Support product launches and contribute to marketing activities.
• Share customer insights with Product Management and R&D.
• Build applications expertise across the EMEA organization.
