Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited has been asked to identify an Applications Engineer for a highly technical OEM machine business in the West Midlands. The role focuses on programming Sliding Head lathes, delivering turnkey solutions and training clients.

The package includes 33,000–36,000 GBP with an OTE of 50K+, a company car, in-house training and progression opportunities. Office-based with travel to customer sites, typically 70/30 between site visits and office work.

Qualifications

• Experience programming Sliding Head lathes.
• Ability to teach and demonstrate programming to customers.
• Willing to travel to customer sites as required.

Are you an Applications Engineer or CNC Programmer with experience programming Sliding Head lathes looking to work for a highly technical OEM Machine business that can offer a highly competative package including a 15K bonus?

Do you want a role that can provide flexibility, either working from an office or going to customer sites, and provide expert in-house training to enable you to become a technical expert?

As an Applications Engineer, you will be the go-to technical specialist for highly regarded CNC machines. You will be integral to customer training, showing clients how to programme and operate, delivering turnkey solutions and performing demos. This is a client facing role with the potential of travel, where you will act as the representative between the sales department and customer.

This role would suit an Applications Engineer or CNC Programmer from a Sliding Head Lathe background who is looking to progress to an applications engineer, taking a more hands on role and delivering turnkey projects for high profile clients.

The Role:
