Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking an Applications Engineer (Design for Manufacture) in Oxfordshire. You will join a dynamic design office to advance world‑class products, manage customer amendments, and certify designs.

A hands-on problem solver will drive improvements and support production and sales teams. You will bring five years plus experience in automotive/marine/aerospace settings, strong 3D CAD (NX) skills, and know-how in drawings, fabrication, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree at least, preferably engineering, with five years in Applications Engineer or similar.
• Experience in automotive, marine or aerospace manufacturing environments.
• Advanced skills in 3D CAD (NX) with strong component and assembly models and drawings.
• Strong capability to propose innovative engineering solutions to problems.
• Experience with mechanical systems and fabricated components.
• Understanding of GRP/CFRP and related tooling is helpful.
• Knowledge of fluid circuits and/or electrical systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Project manage customer-specific amendments to existing designs.
• Conduct customer-specific integration studies.
• Manage budgets and BOMs for each custom project.
• Work with regulatory bodies to certify designs.
• Provide technical support to production and sales.
• Coordinate with suppliers on technical matters.
• Produce and maintain technical assembly/manufacturing drawings.
• Assist in build and test of each project from brief to delivery.
