Ernest Gordon Recruitment is recruiting for an Applications Engineer (BMS / Strategy) in Manchester. The role focuses on developing BMS control strategies and graphics from an office base, with occasional site commissioning and close collaboration with project engineers.

You will translate project requirements into effective control solutions, working with BMS software and HVAC concepts while building expertise across BMS controls and graphics.

• Review and amend control strategies and graphics throughout project delivery.
• Support testing, fault finding and commissioning activities where required.
• Attend larger project sites occasionally to provide commissioning support.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and technical records.
• Work predominantly from the office as part of the BMS engineering team.

Are you a BMS Engineer with experience writing control strategies and creating BMS graphics, looking to move into a predominantly office-based role where you can focus on the design and development of BMS projects?

Do you have experience with BMS software and HVAC controls and want a role offering a better balance between office-based engineering and occasional site support?

This role will see you responsible for developing BMS control strategies and graphical interfaces for a range of projects. Working predominantly from the office, you will translate project requirements and engineering information into effective control strategies, software and graphics, while occasionally supporting commissioning on larger projects.

The company is continuing to grow its BMS project offering and is looking for a technically capable engineer who can contribute to the design and delivery of projects while developing their expertise across BMS controls and software.

The Role

• Develop and write BMS control strategies for projects
• Create and configure BMS graphics and graphical interfaces

The Person

• Experience working with BMS / BEMS systems
• Previous experience writing BMS control strategies
• Experience creating BMS graphics / front-end graphics
• Full UK driving licence

This is an excellent opportunity for a BMS Engineer with a strong controls and software background to move into a predominantly office-based position, focusing on strategy writing and graphics development while retaining some exposure to site commissioning and project delivery.
