Job summary

Oliver Bernard in London is seeking an Application Support Tech Lead to ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the platform stack. This is a hands-on leadership role combining deep technical expertise with operations ownership.

You will lead a team of platform engineers, drive excellence, and serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders, engineering, and external partners, with opportunities to shape strategy and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Application Support or similar role.
• Proficiency with scripting or an object-oriented programming language.
• SQL and database experience.
• Experience with configuration management, automation and orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud and tools such as Terraform and Docker.
• Knowledge of APIs and microservices is desirable.
• Experience leading others and acting as the go-to senior in a team.

They’re looking to hire an Application Support Tech Lead who’ll be responsible for the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the platform stack.

This is a hands-on techical leadership and engineering role that needs combining deep technical expertise with the ability to lead and operational ownership.

You’ll have the chance to lead a team of platform engineers, drive excellence, and act as the key interface between business stakeholders, engineering and external partners.

You’ll have the opportunity to define strategy, improve processes, and ensure platforms can scale to support business operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Application Support role or similar role.
