Job summary

develop is seeking an Application Support Specialist to lead its Platform Operations, driving reliability, performance and continuous improvement of a business-critical platform in a hybrid London setup.

You will blend hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, overseeing incident management and automation initiatives, and working closely with Engineering leadership to shape platform strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Application Support or Platform Operations.
• Experience supporting bespoke business-critical applications.
• Previous leadership, mentoring or team management experience.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP also considered).
• Experience working within Agile or DevOps environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and incident management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Hybrid - 3 Days Per Week (London)

I'm working with a fast-growing technology business that's looking for a Platform Operations Manager to lead its platform engineering function and drive the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of a business-critical platform.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone from a strong Application Support or Platform Engineering background who's ready to lead a team while remaining technically involved.

You'll be responsible for operational excellence, major incident management and platform reliability, while helping shape the future direction of the platform through automation, monitoring and continuous improvement.

• Strong background in Application Support or Platform Operations.
