Job Description:

Our client is a growing financial technology (FinTech) firm, based in brand-new offices in central Newcastle.

They develop innovative, in-house software for algo trading, investment, and asset management firms worldwide, and are expanding their Application and Support Engineering team.

This role involves supporting complex trading applications, providing 2nd and 3rd line support, and working closely with Development, Quant, and DevOps teams to implement improvements, manage code deployments, and drive automation.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar Application Support or Support Engineering role
• Ability to support demanding clients, manage applications, and deliver releases
• Experience in FinTech, Financial Services, and/or SaaS
• Coding skills to troubleshoot and fix bugs
• Experience supporting and improving applications
• SQL knowledge
• Monitoring and automation experience
• Knowledge of DevOps and Cloud (Azure) is a plus
• Strong academic background (top university, strong A Levels, etc.)
