Job summary

Third Nexus Group Limited is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to maintain enterprise ASP.NET MVC and legacy .NET applications in a London hybrid setting. The role covers production support, incident resolution, defect analysis and coordination with development and infrastructure teams.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with legacy web apps, frontend tech like jQuery, and ITSM tooling. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting production applications and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support.
• Analyse and resolve production incidents, service requests, and defects.
• Troubleshoot across presentation, business, data-access layers and database.
• Support apps using ASP.NET MVC Framework, .NET 10, jQuery and SQL Server.
• Investigate application logs, stack traces, database issues, and integration failures.
• Perform root-cause analysis and prepare permanent fixes or workarounds.
• Develop minor enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes.
• Support REST-based integrations and troubleshoot API-related issues.
• Collaborate with development, database, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change-management related meetings and processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, knowledge articles and support procedures.
• Participate in on-call or shift-based support, if required.

Position Overview

• We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to support and maintain enterprise applications built using ASP.NET MVC, .NET 10 and SQL Server. The role will involve production support, incident resolution, defect analysis, minor enhancements, and coordination with development and infrastructure teams.
• The successful candidate should have strong experience supporting legacy web applications and be comfortable working with frontend technologies such as jQuery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC Framework.
• Strong experience of development using jQuery and SQL Server
• Good experience with .NET 10
• Strong knowledge of C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Expert in ServiceNow usage or other ITSM tools
• Experience troubleshooting web applications in production.
• Understanding of MVC architecture, session management, authentication, and authorization.
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with debugging tools, application logs, and performance analysis.
• Good incident-management and communication skills.

Experience and Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in ASP.NET MVC Framework application development or application support.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in production.
• Experience working in ITIL-based support environments
