Siemens Software in London is seeking an Application Engineer to advance CFD and AI-driven simulation across aerospace, energy, automotive and marine sectors. You will handle CFD tasks from CAD to post-processing and apply AI/ML capabilities within Simcenter STAR-CCM+ to accelerate design exploration, grounded in sound physics.
You will train customers, develop best practices, and demonstrate solutions at seminars. The role is hybrid with regular London office presence.

This position is an opportunity to be at the forefront of companies' innovative usage of simulation in industrial and research environments. You will operate across sectors such as Aerospace, Energy, Automotive and Marine, in application areas including aerodynamics, thermal cooling, fluid-structure interaction, combustion and multiphase flows.
A genuine, first-principles understanding of the underlying physics is the core requirement of this role - no amount of tooling replaces the ability to know whether a CFD result is physically sound. Beyond that, we're increasingly looking for engineers with an interest in AI along one or both of these dimensions:
You don't need deep expertise in both - authentic curiosity and working familiarity with either is a strong differentiator on top of solid CFD fundamentals.
The Application Engineer is expected to work closely with current and potential customers to understand their engineering workflows and processes, and to propose solution methodologies and best practices that help them meet their objectives. General day-to-day activities include:

The salary range for this position is £53.600 to £91.100 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation.. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
