Job summary

IC Resources in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced ASIC Design Engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of complex silicon for space-based communications. You will perform high-quality RTL development and micro-architecture work, with close collaboration across architecture, verification, and system teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in ASIC/RTL design, strong SystemVerilog skills, and a background in complex RTL design and SoC integration.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ASIC Design Engineer (5+ years) to join a small, highly focused team in Edinburgh. The team is developing high-value silicon for what aims to be the world’s first space-based mobile broadband network.

You will be part of a collaborative engineering group working on next-generation silicon, leveraging advanced process technologies to push performance, efficiency, and capability. This is a hands-on role where your design decisions will have a direct impact on delivering a global communications network from space.

Role Overview

As an ASIC Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and implementation of complex silicon solutions used in space-based communication systems. The role focuses on high-quality RTL development, micro-architecture definition, and close collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines.

You will work closely with architecture, verification, and system teams—both internal and external—to deliver robust, high-performance ASIC and SoC designs from concept through to tape-out.
