Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence in Bracknell is seeking an experienced Application Security Architect to lead secure gateway design and implementation on major programmes. You’ll influence architectural decisions and collaborate with Solution Architects, SOC teams and operations to ensure secure, reliable services.

The role combines hands-on design and development with governance, risk and compliance in highly regulated environments. Regular travel to London and the South West is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong design and development background in secure or regulated environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and gateway technologies.
• Willingness to travel regularly across London and the South West.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement changes to secure gateway environments.
• Produce solution and change designs per customer requirements.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Engineering Leads and Project Managers to deliver technical outcomes.
• Support SOC and 3rd Line teams with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Maintain platform availability, resilience and performance.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, security and operational teams.
• Support design reviews, documentation and governance activities.
