Job summary

CBS Butler is seeking a Security Application Architect in Bracknell to design and maintain a secure Gateway solution within a security-focused environment. You will work with Solution Architects and 3rd Line teams to implement technical changes and ensure service availability.

The role requires willingness to undergo high-level security clearance and regular travel to London and the South West, with a focus on hands-on delivery and practical problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with RHEL and Windows infrastructure.
• VMware vSphere experience.
• Knowledge of SMTP and email technologies.
• Background in application design, development, infrastructure engineering or Gateway support.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.

Security Application Architect

Salary: £60-70K per annum + enhanced benefits

Location: Bracknell, with regular travel to London and the South West
Security Clearance: Must be willing and eligible to undergo high-level security clearance

We're seeking a Security Application Architect to support the delivery and maintenance of a secure Gateway solution within a security-focused engineering environment.

Working alongside Solution Architects, Engineering Leads and 3rd Line teams, you'll design and implement technical changes, maintain service availability and troubleshoot complex issues.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with RHEL and Windows infrastructure.
• VMware vSphere experience.
• Knowledge of SMTP and email technologies.
• Background in application design, development, infrastructure engineering or Gateway support.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

Cross-domain solutions, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), VMware, Shell Scripting, REGEX, Active Directory, DNS, PKI certificates, Firewalls, SYSLOG, XMPP, XML, JSON and LDIF.

Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to undergo high-level security clearance.
• Flexibility to travel across the South and South West, sometimes at short notice.
