Job summary

Fujitsu Bracknell is seeking a Security Application Architect to lead gateway delivery and maintain high availability. You will collaborate with the Solution Owner, Engineering Lead and SOC to design changes and resolve incidents while traveling weekly in the South/West region.

The role requires hands-on experience with RHEL/Windows, Vsphere, SMTP, and PKI/AD/DNS, along with VMware-related tooling and scripting skills. A proactive, self-starting attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure: RHEL and Windows operating systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of virtualization and network services such as Vsphere, SMTP.
• Familiarity with security gateway configurations and admin tooling.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement required changes to support the Gateway and maintain availability.
• Provide designs for change as requested by the customer alongside the Program Manager.
• Support SOC and 3rd line teams to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

This is a hands-on role for a Security Application Architect to assist with delivery of a Gateway solution, reporting into the Lead Solution Architect (Solution Owner), the Engineering Lead, working alongside the Engineering Team and 3rd Line.

The individual will carry out the following activities:
Identify and implement required change to support the Gateway and maintain availability
Provide designs for change as requested by the customer alongside the Program Manager
Work directly with the Solution Owner and Engineering Lead in support of daily tasks
Provide support to SOC and 3rdline teams to trouble-shoot issues as they arise

The individual:
Will be a Self-starter able to work on their own and alongside other members of the team
Have good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels
Must be able to travel within the South / Southwest area weekly and with limited notice.
The chosen candidate will ideally be an experienced grade with a design and development background, with knowledge of and experience in configuring and supporting Gateways.
