Job summary

Computacenter Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Application Packaging Specialist to join our team in Nottingham-based offices, with options across Hatfield or Milton Keynes. You will package applications into MSIX, MSI and App-V formats, automate deployments, and work within Agile/Scrum environments on secure, high-profile projects.

• Three years of hands-on application packaging and scripting experience (PowerShell, VBScript).
• Expertise in MSI, App-V and MSIX technologies.
• Strong MECM and Intune deployment experience.
• Solid understanding of application lifecycle management.
• Agile/Scrum project experience.
• Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
• Eligibility for SC clearance.
• Desirable: Omnissa Workspace One, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Automation.
• Desirable: familiarity with Python, Ansible, and shell scripting tools.
• Desirable: understanding of AWS/Azure and related automation tools.
• Desirable: awareness of ITIL, ISO 20000, and ISO 27000 standards.

Responsibilities

• Package applications to agreed formats such as MSIX, MSI, and App-V in line with customer standards.
• Ensure compatibility across environments and meet defined quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Use PowerShell and scripting tools to automate and streamline processes.
• Support deployment using MECM and Intune and understand the full application lifecycle.
• Document processes and solutions to industry and customer standards.
