Job summary

Oakwell Hampton Group is seeking an Applications Engineer to join its engineering team. This hands-on role focuses on hardware testing and validation, working closely with software and systems engineers across the full product lifecycle.

You will develop deep technical knowledge of imaging sensors and detector systems, contributing to product development from initial requirements through validation, testing, and customer support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on electronics experience (test, development, research, or applications engineering).
• Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out engineering tests on imaging sensors, detector panels, and associated systems.
• Perform validation and verification of hardware, firmware, and software.
• Investigate technical issues and conduct fault analysis and performance evaluation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers integrating the company’s products.
• Produce technical documentation including application notes and internal knowledge resources.
• Analyse and report test results, including statistical performance data.

This is a hands-on role focused on hardware testing and validation, working closely with software and systems engineers across the full product lifecycle.

Requirements
