Job summary

Entech Technical Solutions Limited is seeking an Application Engineer to join an electronics manufacturer in Cambridge. You will support customers, help select and troubleshoot high-performance electronic products, and work closely with the Marketing, Applications and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities include demonstrating products, participating in industry events, and supporting business development activities while applying your knowledge of circuits, schematics and datasheets to solve

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics manufacturing or engineering roles.
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets and specifications.
• Practical fault-finding and troubleshooting of electronic hardware or systems.
• Experience in Applications Engineering, Field Applications or Technical Support is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and distributors to select, apply and troubleshoot high-performance electronic products.
• Demonstrate products at events and with customers, supporting business development activities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Applications and Engineering teams to understand requirements and propose suitable technologies.

Job description

We are looking for an Application Engineer to join a specialist electronics manufacturer in Cambridge, supporting customers and working closely with the Marketing, Applications and Engineering teams.

As an Application Engineer, you will provide technical support to customers, helping them select, apply and troubleshoot high-performance electronic products. You will work closely with customers and distributor networks to understand their requirements and recommend the most appropriate technology and products for their specific applications.

The role will combine technical engineering, customer support, product marketing and applications, with opportunities to demonstrate products, attend industry events and support business development activities.

Requirements:

• Experience working within electronics, manufacturing or engineering in a similar role.
• Understanding of electronic circuits, components and systems.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, datasheets and technical specifications.
• Practical experience of fault-finding and troubleshooting electronic hardware or systems.
• Experience in an Applications Engineering, Field Applications, Technical Support, or similar technical role would be advantageous.
