Job summary

OpenExchange in the UK/US remote environment is seeking a Senior Technical Integration Lead to own API integrations end-to-end—from pre-sales scoping through implementation and live events. You will translate client requirements into actionable API capabilities, and work with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical implementation, solutions engineering, integration consulting or a similar client-facing technical role.
• Strong practical understanding of REST APIs: read docs, build and debug requests in Postman or similar, interpret responses and error codes, explain payload and field mapping to a non-specialist.
• Able to hold the commercial and technical thread in the same conversation - credible with a client's architect and with their commercial sponsor.
• Track record of training and enabling internal teams, with written work - implementation plans, runbooks, incident updates for action.
• Comfortable running multiple concurrent implementations under time pressure, with competing client-side dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Pre-sales and scoping for API integrations.
• Join Sales on opportunities where an API integration is part of the deal, translating requirements into API capabilities.
• Run technical discovery: systems integrated, ownership, authentication, and current event workflow.
• Produce scoping documents and solution designs for proposals and engineering alignment.
• Provide realistic expectations on integration efforts, including saying no to non-viable options.
• Own the integration from contract to live events: milestones, dependencies, blockers, and timelines.
• Guide client engineering teams through OE API modules: event/meeting management, registration, reporting, credentials and environment access.
• Agree authentication and access model with the client: API credentials, SSO, and attendee join methods.
• Run integration testing and UAT: build test plans, handle failures, validate end-to-end data, sign-off go-live readiness.
• Support platform migrations to keep client events running during transitions.
• Design integrations around real event delivery, not just API capabilities, with Delivery teams in mind.
• Enable Delivery and Support by building and maintaining operational docs and trainings.
• Diagnose cross-boundary issues and escalate appropriately, documenting root causes and fixes.
