Job summary

OpenExchange Inc. is seeking an API Integrations Implementation Specialist to own end-to-end API integrations from pre-sales scoping through live events.

You will translate client requirements into concrete API capabilities, perform technical discovery, and produce scoping designs for proposals and engineering validation. You will guide client engineering teams through API modules, define authentication and access models, run tests, and support migrations while ensuring smooth live event

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical implementation, solutions engineering, integration consulting or a similar client-facing technical role.
• Strong practical understanding of REST APIs: able to read documentation, build and debug requests in Postman or similar, interpret responses and error codes, and explain payload and field mapping to a non-specialist.
• Able to hold the commercial and technical thread in the same conversation - credible with a client's architect and with their commercial sponsor.
• A track record of training and enabling internal teams, not just delivering to clients, with written work - implementation plans, runbooks, incident updates - that people can act on.
• Comfortable running multiple concurrent implementations under time pressure, with competing client-side dependencies and the client watching.
• Webcasting, virtual events, streaming or a comparable live-delivery domain.
• Hands-on familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Salesforce. #LI-OE

Responsibilities

• Pre-sales and scoping: join Sales on opportunities where an API integration is part of the deal and translate requirements into what APIs can do.
• Run technical discovery: identify systems to integrate, owners, authentication model, and current event workflow.
• Produce scoping documents and solution designs for proposals and engineering validation.
• Give commercial decisions a realistic view of integration effort, including saying no to non-viable ones.
