Chambers & Partners is seeking a Research Analyst (APAC) for the Night Shift to join the Asia-Pacific team. The role involves background research, conducting interviews with lawyers and in-house counsel, and building market rankings reflected in our guides.

The position requires night shifts during peak APAC cycles, with hybrid London-based office days and home-based rest periods. Strong writing and analytical skills are essential for producing editorial content.

Qualifications

• Degree educated with an interest or experience in conducting research and analysis across the APAC region.
• Comfortable speaking on the phone to people from varying backgrounds.
• Strong writing skills, particularly the ability to write clearly and concisely.
• High attention to detail.
• Organised and methodical.
• Demonstrates the ability to meet set deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Background research to understand their assigned practice areas and jurisdictions.
• With the support of the Research Manager, determining which lawyers to contact for interview.
• Conducting probing interviews with lawyers, asking open-ended questions.
• Interviewing in-house counsel and other third-party experts by telephone or via an online questionnaire.
• Accurately logging communications and continually assessing progression of their research.
• Building an understanding of, and relationships with, the key market participants.
• Analysing the data collected during the research phase to create accurate and impartial ranking tables that reflect the market.
• Producing an informative, business-focused editorial for the Chambers website and our guides.
