Job summary

MTrec Commercial is seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their team. The role supports supplier invoicing, customer invoicing, and month-end reporting, with a view to permanent status after 12 weeks. You will work closely with sales and operations to ensure accurate ledgers and strong working capital.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, be highly organized, and perform well under pressure, with solid Excel/ERP skills and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations.
• Experience with payment runs, bank reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Good knowledge of Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and match to purchase orders, resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier master data and process payments and remittances.
• Generate customer invoices, post receipts and chase overdue accounts.
• Prepare month-end reports and reconciliations; support audits.
