Job summary

BioTalent is seeking a Scientist to join the Injectable Formulation Development team in the UK. The role involves hands-on laboratory work supporting monoclonal antibody therapies from early research through clinical development.

You will conduct protein/antibody characterisation studies, support formulation development, and author technical documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic R&D environment.

Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience.
  • Strong experience with protein/antibody analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, and particle analysis methods.
  • Experience in formulation development and/or laboratory automation would be advantageous.
  • Strong data analysis, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK/EU.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory experiments and analytical studies to support pre‑clinical and clinical development programmes.
  • Support pre‑formulation and formulation development activities.
  • Author protocols, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Analyse and interpret experimental data and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to laboratory operations and continuous improvement activities.
