A local housing service provider in Colchester is seeking an enthusiastic Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to address community safety issues. Job description

Fixed Term 15 months, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Colchester Borough Homes is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated community based Anti-Social Behaviour Officer. Working within the Community Safety Team as a specialist officer you will be required to have a knowledge of both enforcement and preventative action when dealing with anti-socialbehaviour, as well as experience of managing a caseload and preparation of legal documentation.

You will be required to have a passion for providing a holistic approach to working with both perpetrators and witnesses of anti-social behaviour.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to demonstrate a good knowledge of IT systems are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol identified hot spot areas of increased levels of ASB
  • Proven ability to undertake proportionate enforcement action ensuring that cases are regularly monitored, customers updated and appropriate actions are taken
  • Delivering excellent customer service to prevent anti-social behaviour, working with perpetrators to change behaviour and supporting victims to ensure that we resolve cases effectively and as quickly as possible.
  • Working closely with partner agencies to create and maintain sustainable communities.
