Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust invites a motivated midwife to join the Inpatient Maternity Team as a Band 7 Antenatal Ward Sister, 15 hours per week in a job-share. Lead on antenatal care, support MDT development, and drive high standards of care and patient experience.

You will collaborate across hospital and community services to ensure seamless pathways and excellent outcomes for women and families, with flexible working patterns.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with current UK NMC registration.
• Mentorship / SLiP course completed.
• Evidence of CPD and ongoing professional development.
• Completed preceptorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, professional and operational leadership on the Antenatal Ward.
• Act as a role model and senior clinical resource for the MDT.
• Work autonomously within policies and guidelines.
• Coordinate day-to-day management of the Antenatal Ward.
• Support education and development of midwifery staff and students.
• Maintain specialist knowledge through ongoing PD and post-registration education.
• Collaborate with inpatient, community and wider services for seamless care.
• Participate in on-call senior midwife rota as required.
