Qualifikationen

• PhD in atmospheric sciences or geosciences or a related subject.
• Experience analysing and visualising climate datasets from models, observations, and reanalysis.
• Strong understanding of climate/meteorology and statistics.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Aufgaben

• Compare rain and snowfall over Antarctic sea ice using models and observations.
• Quantify present-day rainfall occurrences over sea ice using the best RCM dataset.
• Analyze synoptic processes and atmospheric variability linked to sea-ice rain events.
• Identify GCM subsets to improve rainfall projections to 2100.
• Attend meetings and contribute to international conferences.
• Lead writing of scientific papers.
