Job summary

Haven is seeking an Animation Host to join our Entertainment Team in a full-time seasonal role. You will perform in interactive shows, deliver daytime and evening events, and engage guests with lively, family-friendly entertainment across multiple venues.

Roles require 6 days per week with evenings and weekends; 39 hours weekly. DBS and right-to-work checks apply. Enjoy team perks and opportunities for growth within Haven’s theatres and events.

Qualifications

• Confidence and ability to engage with guests of all ages is essential.
• Basic dancing, presenting and animation skills are desirable.
• Must work 6 days per week with evenings and weekends; approx. 39 hours per week.
• Right to work in the UK at 18+ and Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting in the delivery of daytime & evening events.
• Performing as an Actor within Haven’s interactive show; ‘Dinosaur Explorers’.
• Performing as a costume animator/actor within Haven’s ‘Seaside Squad’ events.
• Performing as an actor/puppeteer within Haven’s puppet show.
• Light entertainment duties including meet & greets and guest interaction.
• Assist with photoshoots & PR exercises and support charity events.

Position: Animation Host Type: Full Time/Seasonal, fortnightly-paid, PAYE contract Pay Rates: £12.71 per hour (prior to accommodation, tax and national insurance deductions) Winter Animation Host Contract dates from Monday 16th November 2026 until Saturday 2nd January 2027

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting in the delivery of daytime & evening events.
• Performing as an Actor within Haven’s interactive adventure show; ‘Dinosaur Explorers’.
• Performing as a costume animator/actor within Haven’s ‘Seaside Squad’ events.
• Performing as an actor/puppeteer within Haven’s ‘Avenue Q-style’ puppet show.
• Light entertainment duties including tech, meet & greets and guest interaction.
• *All roles may also be required to deliver photoshoots & PR exercises. Additionally, All roles be required to support in the delivery of Owner/charity events.

Requirements

• Confidence and the ability to engage with guests of all ages is essential.
• Basic dancing, presenting and animation skills are desirable.
• Our cast members are required to work 6 days per week - Hours will include evenings and weekends. Working hours are approximately 39 hours per week.
• *Successful candidates will be required to provide ‘right to work’ documents to confirm they are 18+ and can legally work in the UK.
• Additionally, successful candidates will be required to undergo, and satisfactorily complete, an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.
