Job summary

Inotiv is seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant to support an animal unit in Belton, NW Leicestershire. You’ll manage decontamination equipment, receive and process goods, restock stores and perform daily unit housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean workspace.

This 18-month fixed-term contract runs full-time from 07:30 to 15:45, Monday to Friday, with a starting salary of £26,501. A compassionate approach to animal care and ability to follow procedures are essential, plus driving is required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machines or machinery.
• Experience in cleaning and sanitising.
• Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and loading.

Responsibilities

• Operate decontamination equipment to clean and sterilise items.
• Receive, process, and distribute goods within the unit.
• Restock stores and conduct regular stock takes.
• Perform daily facility housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Follow procedures with strong attention to detail.
