Job summary

The Manchester College is seeking a Technician (Animal Care) to join the Sport, Public Services and Care Professions Department on a permanent, part-time basis (23 hours per week) at the Wythenshawe Campus in Manchester. The role focuses on animal welfare and assisting in delivering the Animal Management curriculum, with weekend care duties as part of ongoing welfare needs.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English & Mathematics are required.
• NVQ Level 2 in an industry relevant qualification.
• First Aid qualification or willingness to work towards within first year.
• Specific relevant industry experience.

• Assist teachers in delivering Animal Management curriculum.
• Support delivery of academic qualifications and learning experiences for students.
• Provide high standards of animal welfare and care, including weekend duties.
