Inotiv in the UK is hiring an Animal Technician at our Hillcrest site in Belton, near Loughborough. You’ll care for rabbits and rodents in a production facility, performing feeding, cleaning and breeding tasks while maintaining accurate records.

The role is a full-time, 18-month fixed-term contract with rota-based weekends and bank holidays, potential to become permanent. Starting salary is £26,501.83, with core benefits and a supportive training environment.

Qualifications

• Experience handling rabbits/rodents is preferred.
• Attention to detail for recording breeding, feeding and care activities.

Our Team Leaders, Supervisors and Operations teams once started their careers as Animal Care Technicians.If you're hardworking, detail-oriented and have a passion for animals, then we’d love for you to be a part of our team, working at a facility that breeds and cares for animals, in a production environment.About you:You have a genuine interest in animal development and breeding, and you’re comfortable handling and holding rabbits or rodents.You either have a qualification in animal care (or similar), or previous experience working in an animal related environment (handling and caring for animals).Attention to detail is key in this role as you’ll be keeping accurate records of breeding, feeding, cleaning and animal care activities. You’ll also coordinate order details, including selection, packaging, ensuring accuracy at all times.You’re a great team player, you’re flexible to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis and are happy to work overtime if it’s needed.Location/Benefits:This is a full-time, 18 month fixed term contract (with the potential to be made permanent), based at our Hillcrest site in Belton, just outside of Loughborough.As an Animal Technician, there are a range of hours you’ll work across, these are all based on the areas you’ll work in.
