Job summary

The Vanguard Group is seeking an Application Engineer (Angular, Java) to join the Europe FAS engineering team. You will build digital onboarding experiences across Europe, collaborating with product and design to deliver cross-channel solutions.

The tech stack includes Angular, AWS, and Node.js, with AI-assisted development tools integrated into the workflow. You will own features end-to-end, work with a distributed team across time zones, and contribute to design discussions and architectural

Qualifications

Strong Angular development skills with recent versions.
Java Spring Boot experience is required.
Solid AWS knowledge with serverless and managed services.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver Angular applications powering client onboarding journeys.
Build and maintain cloud-native services on AWS (Aurora Postgres, S3, EC2).
Use AI development tools (Claude, Copilot) to accelerate delivery and code quality.
Integrate APIs and third-party services for seamless cross-channel experiences.
Write well-tested, maintainable code with strong test coverage.
Collaborate with a globally distributed team on design reviews and architecture.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions for Vanguard's growth.
