Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is looking for a talented Mobile Software Engineer - Android to design, build and evolve Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You’ll work within a cross-functional engineering team, collaborating with designers, product managers and backend engineers to deliver secure, scalable features that improve the way customers manage their money.

You’ll champion engineering excellence, mentor colleagues, and help shape robust development practices as the group

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and shipping Android applications.
• Strong experience building Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience developing secure, scalable and high-performance mobile applications.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with Clean Architecture and object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of Android lifecycle management and best practices.
• Experience monitoring application performance and debugging production issues.
• Experience writing automated tests including unit, integration and UI tests.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
• Experience collaborating with designers, product managers and backend engineers.
