Methods Business and Digital Technology Limited is hiring Android Developers to join a multidisciplinary delivery team that builds public-facing digital services across the UK. You will develop robust, accessible Android apps, mentor peers, and participate in architectural decisions.

The role emphasizes Kotlin expertise, modern Android patterns, and collaboration with product managers, designers, and QA in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing Android applications.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK; understanding modern Android patterns.
• Experience with APIs and backend integration; automated testing incl. unit/UI tests.
• Git workflows; clean code, modularity, maintainability, and version control.
• Experience diagnosing defects and performance issues; security and accessibility awareness.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.
• Translate requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions and write clean code.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, QA and other developers in an Agile team.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture decisions and automated testing.
• Ensure security, accessibility, privacy, resilience and performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Contribute to documentation and mentoring to share knowledge within the team.
