Job summary

Zopa is seeking an experienced Android developer to shape the future of our mobile app in Kotlin. Joining the Mobile Platform team, you will build native Android features, improve performance, and collaborate with React Native engineers on the migration journey.

The role combines architecture, shared libraries, build systems, and analytics to deliver fast, reliable, and delightful user experiences. Hybrid working is offered with London office presence 2–3 days a week and a chance to work from

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production Android apps in Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of Android frameworks and APIs.
• Track record delivering high-performance, reliable mobile apps.
• Experience publishing to Google Play Store.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and raise engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Build native Android features in Kotlin and improve performance.
• Collaborate with React Native engineers during migration to native Android.
• Define best practices for native development and support cross-training.
• Work with product, design and backend teams to deliver user‑centric features.
• Publish to Google Play and maintain app quality and reliability.
