Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to build and maintain native apps across Expedia, Orbitz, Vrbo, and other brands. You will design low-level APIs, work with backend services, and ensure performance, reliability, and security for mobile features using Kotlin.

You will collaborate with product, design, and other engineers in a global, fast-moving team to deliver high-quality travel experiences and scalable mobile solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building and shipping Android apps using Kotlin in production, owning features or services.
• Proven ability to design mobile low-level designs, APIs, and data models with backends.
• Proficiency with core Android development tools, testing, debugging, CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Android platform capabilities.
• Design and implement clean, testable low-level designs, APIs, and data models for mobile features.
• Apply software engineering best practices in coding, testing, code reviews, and CI to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
