Job summary

Ampstek is seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, develop and maintain high-quality Android applications. The successful candidate will work closely with Product, UX/UI, Backend and QA teams to deliver scalable, secure and high-performing mobile applications.

Key responsibilities include designing with Kotlin, building modern UIs using Jetpack Compose, integrating REST APIs, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines while maintaining secure coding and accessibility best practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Android development.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with MVVM/MVI/Clean Architecture and Kotlin Coroutines.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and using Git-based workflows.
• Experience with testing (JUnit, Espresso) and Agile/Scrum environments.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to design, develop and maintain high-quality Android applications. The successful candidate will work closely with Product, UX/UI, Backend and QA teams to deliver scalable, secure and high-performing mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.


• Build modern, responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.


• Implement clean and scalable Android architecture.


• Integrate REST APIs and backend services.


• Develop reusable and maintainable components.


• Write unit, integration and UI tests.


• Troubleshoot bugs, crashes and application performance issues.


• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.


• Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Backend Developers and QA Engineers.


• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated build/deployment processes.


• Maintain and improve existing Android applications and legacy code where required.


• Follow secure coding, accessibility and software engineering best practices.

Mandatory Skills

• 4+ years of professional Android development experience.


• Strong knowledge of Android SDK.


• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.


• Experience with Android architecture such as MVVM / MVI / Clean Architecture.
