Springcare Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and committed team member to join our kitchen team. We are a family run group of Residential and Nursing homes in Shropshire, Cheshire and The Wirral, offering a supportive work culture and opportunities for training and career progression.

The role involves assisting with meal preparation and service, ensuring hygiene standards, and supporting the head cook to meet residents’ dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is beneficial but training will be provided.
• Two written references are required.
• DBS check may be required depending on role and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of hot and cold meals.
• Help the head cook to ensure food is prepared in line with food hygiene regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment to meet hygiene standards.
• Record food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures under the guidance of the head cook.
• Consider residents' dietary preferences and requirements.

About you:

You will be positive, enthusiastic, and professional and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure our residents receive high quality service. We need someone who is self-motivated and has excellent communication skills.

Desired but not essential:

• Food and hygiene certificate


• Previous experience in a similar role however training will be provided

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of hot and cold meals.


• Assisting the head cook to ensure that food is prepared in accordance with food hygiene regulations.


• Helping to keep the kitchen area and equipment clean and to the standard for food hygiene.


• Under guidance of head cook, maintaining accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures


• Being aware of varied preferences and dietary requirements of individual residents
