Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking an Anatomy Demonstrator to support MBChB teaching within the Medical School. The role focuses on high‑quality anatomy education for first‑year medical students, using models, imaging, and practical sessions under supervision.

Teaching takes place on Mondays and Tuesdays during term time, with expected engagement in planning, assessment preparation, and administrative tasks to support the programme. Pro‑rata salary applies for part‑time hours.

Qualifications

• Degree in anatomy or medicine.
• Excellent teaching skills evidenced by feedback, awards or certificates.
• Knowledge and experience of Human Tissue Act 2004.

Responsibilities

• Deliver anatomy teaching at undergraduate level within the Medical Teaching Unit.
• Facilitate small group learning and guide students through practicals and activities.
• Plan and prioritise daily work for anatomy teaching sessions.
• Undertake administrative duties to support The Medical School.
