East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is recruiting an Anatomical Pathology Technician to join the Mortuary Team at The Lister Hospital in Stevenage. The role supports dignity for the deceased and collaboration with the Bereavement Team to ensure HTA compliance.

You will assist with preparing bodies for post mortem, reconstructing post mortem closures, and coordinating specimen transport for histology and related analyses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deceased for post mortem and assist pathologists during the examination.
• Ensure deceased are reconstructed to a high standard after post mortem.
• Preserve, store and arrange transport for specimens for histology, toxicology and biology.
• Liaise with clinical and administrative teams on routine mortuary operations.
