Job description

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Analytics Lead to develop and execute our analytics strategy. At Suvera, our technology team comprises two main areas: Platform Engineering (product and data engineering) and Analytics (data and clinical analytics). This role will lead the Analytics function, collaborating closely with Platform Engineering to ensure seamless data flow across systems and teams. In the future, it will also oversee our data science initiatives.

You will play a crucial role in aligning business needs with technical solutions—helping Suvera expand its data capabilities, foster a data-driven culture, and enhance outcomes for patients and clinicians. This is a unique opportunity to own a high-impact area, lead a growing team, and take on broader leadership responsibilities in a dynamic healthtech startup.

This position reports to the Technical Director with a salary range of £80k - £100k, depending on experience and qualifications (excluding equity).

About Suvera:

Suvera is transforming healthcare with a mission to promote good health, wherever people are. Partnering with UK general practices, we offer a virtual clinic supporting patients with long-term conditions. We currently manage over 100,000 patients. Our ambitions are global, and we are just getting started.

Our advisors include luminaries like Professor Bryan Williams, a leader in hypertension research and guidelines in the UK. Our team of about 60 includes clinicians, care advisors, and experts across disciplines.

Backed by Google for Startups and Morningside Ventures, Suvera aims to become a global healthcare leader.

What you'll be doing:

As Analytics Lead, you will:

  1. Own and evolve our analytics tools—Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Mixpanel, and Omni—ensuring scalability and enabling self-serve data access across Suvera. Develop a roadmap to empower our analytics team and facilitate data access across the organization.
  2. Lead the development of robust dbt/Snowflake pipelines to transform raw data into actionable metrics. Support strategic analysis, case studies, and reporting to inform internal decisions and external partnerships.
  3. Dedicate approximately 60% of your time to strategy, team management, and cross-functional leadership, with the remaining 40% for hands-on contributions. Act as a key contact for urgent requests and stay engaged with the team's daily work.
  4. Collaborate with platform engineering to ensure analytics needs are integrated into product development. Advocate for pushing data ingestion earlier in the process and centralizing complex logic as materialized views to reduce duplication and inconsistencies.
  5. Coach and mentor team members, support cross-team collaboration, and help shape the culture and technical direction of Suvera’s data platform, setting high standards for quality and teamwork.
We're looking for someone who:

Should have:
  • Experience leading analytics in a startup or scale-up environment
  • At least 4 years of experience with modern data tools, preferably with our stack (Fivetran, Snowflake, DBT, Mixpanel, Omni)
  • Proven ability to build scalable, secure, and reliable analytics infrastructure
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, positive attitude towards challenges and change
  • Experience mentoring and inspiring team members
  • Passion for developing impactful products that improve lives
  • Interest in in-office collaboration at least once a week (we are remote-first but team-focused)
Nice to haves:
  • Experience with MongoDB or healthcare data systems
About our culture:

We prioritize inclusion, wellness, and flexibility. With 40 days of annual leave, a remote-first approach, and a non-hierarchical culture, we support our team's growth and well-being. Our asynchronous communication style promotes efficient workflows, and our policies encourage autonomy and work-life balance.

Perks include:
  • Financial benefits like enhanced parental leave, equipment and education budgets, and a 5% employer pension contribution
  • Wellbeing support such as annual wellbeing budgets, financial advice, mental health support, and therapy sessions
  • Flexibility with 40 days of leave, remote work options across the UK, and protected no-meeting times
Join us to shape the future of healthcare and grow your leadership career in a fast-paced, impactful environment.
