ITV is seeking a data analytics engineer for a 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract within the ITV Insights Group in London. The role focuses on building robust SQL-based data pipelines, advancing the KPI ecosystem, and migrating workloads to BigQuery notebooks.

You will collaborate across analytics, data science and central data teams to deliver scalable data products. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data analytics/engineering, strong SQL, and hands-on experience with dbt or Dataform, Git, and

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with complex, performant code.
• Design, build, and automate robust ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Experience with dbt or Dataform and Git for version control.
• Hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery or similar cloud platforms.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling (star/snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Champion analytics engineering best practices by designing robust SQL-based pipelines.
• Maintain and evolve KPI pipelines and connect Dataform to GitHub for version control.
• Design data quality checks and automated tests with Slack alerts.
• Support UAT on new data products with Central & Insights teams.
• Collaborate with analysts to build foundational tables for dashboards.
• Migrate legacy processes to BigQuery notebooks and pipelines to reduce costs.
• Help rebuild ITVX streaming data as a dimensional model and document data products.
• Integrate new data sources and build automated API connections.
• Bridge data and business value by standardising data models and core metrics.
