Job description

At Dataiku, we're not just adapting to the AI revolution, we're leading it. Since our beginning in Paris in 2013, we've been pioneering the future of AI with a platform that makes data actionable and accessible. With over 1,000 teammates across 25 countries and backed by a renowned set of investors, we're the architects of Everyday AI, enabling data experts and domain experts to work together to build AI into their daily operations, from advanced analytics to Generative AI.

Dataiku is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Enterprise Data and Analytics team in London. As a member of the EDA Team, you will play a central role in delivering data products as well as data-driven insights to various stakeholders and teams at the company. You will also support the organization to maximize the value of their data. While technical skills are essential, business acumen and non-technical skills are equally important. Our Analytics Engineers work primarily with the Dataiku platform, utilizing SQL and Python, with occasional work in other languages, and should have a good working knowledge of Snowflake and the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is curious, communicates effectively, has strong analytical skills, a positive attitude, and thrives in collaborative environments.

How you'll make an impact:

The role of an Analytics Engineer at Dataiku is unique. It focuses not only on delivering data products but also on fostering self-service analytics across the company. Every Dataiku employee is encouraged to use our platform, creating an internal community of analysts larger than in most companies of our size. Your responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining our data catalog with data products that support complex queries, visualizations, and self-service analytics.
  • Partnering with stakeholders and analysts to ensure business logic is accurately represented and well documented in datasets.
  • Collaborating with business leaders to understand needs and develop analytical solutions.
  • Supporting month-end closing processes and updating key metrics and reports.
  • Maintaining data quality and advancing automation to improve efficiency.
  • Responding to ad-hoc data inquiries from management and executives.
  • Exploring new opportunities through innovative analytical and engineering methods.
  • Promoting self-service analytics by providing technical support and expertise to the analyst community.
What you'll need to be successful:
  • At least 3 years of experience in Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or Data Science.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Python; familiarity with Dataiku is a plus.
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Passion for understanding user needs and delivering solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of storytelling with data and explaining complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to produce precise documentation and manage multiple projects.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and collaborative attitude.
