Job summary

Admiral Money is recruiting an Analytics Engineer to join our Tech & Data department. You will surface the right data, in the right way, at the right time, working with Data Scientists, Data Analysts and business users to enable modelling, analysis and reporting.

You’ll help create clean, tested and well-documented data models, maintain metadata standards and support data pipelines, ensuring trusted data across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a data analyst, data engineer, or related role.
• Excellent SQL ability.
• Understanding of data warehousing and modelling (particularly with data marts).

Responsibilities

• Perform a key role working with our experts across the business to understand how the data operates and supports a variety of business operations.
• Act as a data champion to the business, getting people excited by how data can support them to make better decisions.
• Keep usability and trust at the heart of all the models we provide, with well tested and well documented data marts and models.
• Provide support when Data Engineers are building new data pipelines and ingesting data sources.
• Develop standards for data transformation and create and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Refine requirements in response to feedback and provide ongoing user support.
• Design data architecture across business areas and maintain/update patterns when necessary.
• Design test conditions, execute test scripts and report on outcomes.
