Analytics Engineer

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Data Engineering team, which sits under Tech and Data.

You will join a cross-functional Analytics Excellence team consisting of Analytics engineers and Data analysts from diverse backgrounds who leverage the latest technologies to build robust and user-friendly infrastructure and data sets for self-service by non-coding Circlers.

The role

• Set up training for non-coding Circlers to enable them to model data according to best practices.
• Identify actions and optimization opportunities for modelled data across our domains.
• Play a key role in establishing best practices for data modelling and processing.
• Support data culture initiatives to grow data maturity at Funding Circle.
• Proactively solve problems, identify, and mitigate risks, issues, or control weaknesses in your daily work.

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience with dbt.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Pyspark, and/or other relevant data processing languages. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A passion for creating business value through data.
• Strong communication skills, especially in translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
